With the (main) exception of matters relating to schools and waste & minerals, the statutory planning authority for Ewhurst is Rother District Council. However, the Parish Council has a right to be notified about planning applications within the parish and it makes recommendations - and provides local knowledge - to the District Council.
Occasionally the Parish Council will make known its views on applications falling outside the parish boundary if approval could have a detrimental impact on the Parish or its inhabitants.
If you would like the Council to be aware of your views on an application please email the Parish Clerk or, if there is a Council meeting before the District Council's deadline for comments, you are welcome to speak at a Parish Council meeting.
IMPORTANT You must send your comments on applications directly to Rother District Council. If you know the application number you can do this here or you can email the Planning Department.
